Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Description
Virtual Private Network (VPN) establishes a “secure tunnel” for your computer on the UB network and is available to students, faculty and staff. You should use VPN for:
- Connecting to UB's Wireless Network from on-campus
- Connecting to UB resources from off-campus
VPN provides strong encryption and protection for sensitive information. It proxies your network traffic so it appears to originate from a UB IP address.

Requirements
Customers must possess have a valid UBIT account and have the UB VPN client installed.

Cisco VPN 3000 (on campus)
Cisco ASA 5500 VPN (off-campus)
